How this works

METHODOLOGY

What the Ruby threshold is. Ruby is the highest league in The Finals ranked mode, reserved for the top 500 players on the top-10K leaderboard. The threshold is the rank score of the player currently sitting at rank #500 — the score you need to beat to break into Ruby, and to hold it.

Where the data comes from. For the current season we record the rank-500 score from the live leaderboard every two minutes — every score change at the #500 spot becomes a graph point. Past seasons were reconstructed hour by hour from the full match histories of the ~1,000 players who finished around the top 500: at every hour we interpolate the rank score exactly at rank 500 from the players straddling the boundary. Seasons 1, 2 and Open Beta predate rank score entirely, and Season 3 (Terminal Attack) is excluded — different mode, not comparable.

How the prediction works. Each past season's curve is normalized by its final value, the current cutoff is scaled by every season's trajectory at the same season day, and the median of those estimates is the projection — no single season dominates, and the whole history informs the fit. It is still an estimate, not a guarantee. Trajectory fit: current cutoff 46,194 scaled by each past season's normalized curve at season day 24 — 5 seasons, recency-weighted median (middle 50% of estimates 56,565–61,304, 8% spread → high confidence). Past curves are reconstructed hourly from per-player match histories. Not a guarantee.
